NBC Klein Profijt is collection point for the foudation for used tools, called Stichting Gered Gereedschap. This foundation is a nationwide volunteer organisation, collecting, repairing an transporting tools to developing projects around the world. Many countries are in great need of tools, whereas tools form the base for many people to lead an independent life. At the same time a lot of tools are thrown away in The Netherlands. Stichting Gered Gereedschap strives to have these tools from The Netherlands used elsewehere in the world.

To whom do the tools go?
Stichting Gered Gereedschap supports small scale local initiatives in developing countries, that lead to economical independence. Projects that pay attention to the position of women, disabled people, orphans or guttersnipes get priority, just like organisations with care for ecological awareness or environmental protection.

Tools we need:

• Handtools for wood, metal and leatherworking
• Construction and masonrytools
• Cartools
• Iron and sewing machines
• Drilling machines

Tools we do not need:

• Gardening tools
• Bicycles and bicycletools
• Domestic appliances
• Soundsystems and computers
• Corroded tools
